Personalized heart and vascular care on the leading edge.

At FixAfib, we are the leaders in vascular care for the arrhythmia condition atrial fibrillation, or AFib, which impacts over three million people in the United States alone.

What is AFib?

AFib occurs when your heart receives incorrect signals to beat, and it increases your heart rate to between 100 and 180 beats per minute. These additional heartbeats make it so blood can’t get into your heart to be pumped properly. It can cause lightheadedness, difficulty breathing, and fatigue, which limit your ability to do normal tasks. While AFib is not immediately life-threatening, it creates a greater risk of heart attack and 5 times greater risk of stroke as the irregular rhythm can create blood clots when unaddressed.

How Do You Cure AFib?

We utilize processes that Dr. Frank Laws, MD, FACC, has been developing and fine-tuning since 2006. Developing this process has helped us to have a 70% to 80% success amount in correcting AFib and removing symptoms. Our goal is to eliminate and help you or your loved ones overcome atrial fibrillation, and we are one of few arrhythmia centers that track our long-term patient outcomes. It is a point of pride for us that our care helps them continue to feel well and be able to live a normal life without the difficulties of AFib.

FixAfib will help you handle the modifiable risk factors that your lifestyle or medical history may predispose you to, from smoking to previous heart surgeries to diabetes. If your condition has reached a point of long-standing persistent AFib or permanent AFib, we perform minimally invasive ablation procedures, which scar parts of the heart that are over-pumping, to help correct heart rhythm and rate. This care is always personalized and focused on each patient as we utilize a CAT scan to make a 3-D model of your heart before we take any action. Overcoming Afib is Possible

The feeling of debilitation and frustration is something we want to alleviate from our patients, including in the long term. We know that this can be a frustrating and concerning time while you’re experiencing and learning about atrial fibrillation. We expect you to have questions about what is going on and what we can do to help, and it’s important to us to make sure you are informed every step of the way, diagnosis to procedure and on. You or your loved one can recieve the care you need to get back to normal. Contact us for a consultation with our team.

A chaotic rhythm which typically originates in the top left chambers of the heart, AFib is characterized by a sensation of the heart jumping, racing, possible shortness of breath and lower extremity swelling. In some instances patients may have no symptoms at all, a condition known as silent AFib.
